Overview

Hello,
my name is Machiko. I am a Japanese teacher.
Pleased to meet you.
My hobby is the Shikoku Pilgrimage.
On this page, I would like to share some pictures of my pilgrimage, and I’d like to introduce some easy, often used Japanese words.
I think these Japanese words will certainly be useful for your own pilgrimage.
So far I have made the pilgrimage three times by car and motorbike.
Now I am on my fourth pilgrimage.
I have never made the pilgrimage on foot.
One day, I would like to try it on foot.

Thank you - arigatō - ありがとう

It was May when I visited Ryōzenji Temple, so cute swallows were flying around in the sky.

This is about Gokurakuji Temple, the second temple, and the morning greeting.
I try to greet everyone I meet at the temple on my pilgrimage. I feel that if we smile and say “おはようございます(ohayō gozaimasu=good morning)” to each other in the morning, I feel happy that today is going to be another good day.
